That's not the case. Other teams are compensated for the loss of a home game in that manner but in exchange for a multi year deal Khan was able to get the whole of the ticket revenue for the Wembley game. That's why it's such a financial boon to the Jaguars; revenue sharing aside, he's keeping every single penny (or pence) of 84,000 tickets.

That's also what I think this move to buy Wembley is about; the NFL is seeing those millions flow straight into the Jaguars bank account and my suspicion is that they want that money back. They agreed to that deal because at the time they were desperate to grow the brand of the London game and Khan was the only one to show any kind of interest in agreeing to a multiyear deal. These days the NFL realized that the Series doesn't really need the Jaguars commitment anymore and with the recent success the Jaguars may not need the money anymore so I think the NFL is moving to put the Jags back into the regular compensation corner. Buying Wembley would force the NFL's hand not only with regards to the Series as a whole but to the Jaguars revenue stream as well.
