If we could just get Sleiman and his family and move them somewhere else I'd be very happy. They just slow things down soooo much by charging so much for there properties and then doing nothing to improve the properties when nobody is leading them ala The Landing.

The approval process has to go through several layers of bureaucratic red tape before they can complete it, so it's an inherently slow process by design.  Any time you're dealing with a government entity on something like this, that's the case.  That's why Khan and Lamping came up with the Lot J project.  It's property they have total control over, so there's less interaction with the city on developing the land beyond the normal permitting process.
