Well historically, I think two, maybe three teams in the conference have winning bowl records which is an indication on how they stack up against other conferences. Ohio St. Has a notoriously awful strength of schedule because they choose not to play non conference games against decent teams. The big names of yesteryear like Penn St. and Nebraska are shells of their former selves. As another barometer, they had less draft picks in the 2013 draft than: the SEC, the ACC, the Pac-12, the Big 12, and the Big East which was only higher than the like of Conference USA, the Mountain West, the MAC, WAC, Sun Belt and Independents. And Ferentz who I am supposed to believe is a solid coach worthy of NFL consideration still lost 5 or more games in 7 of the last 9 years in this division.
