I remember reading back then that he was putting up in the high 20's. He put up 19 at the combine and 22 at his pro day. Regardless, the point is that he's jacked and he's one of only a few players that can play a receiver and a running back role in the NFL. Sammy was used the same way in college, but it won't translate into the NFL other than a few plays a game. He's going to have to learn to be a traditional wide receiver. That's his knock.
According to this board, every receiver who runs a fast 4.4 or 4.3 is a better prospect than Blackmon... And I doubt most/any of them will be a better pro than Blackmon, assuming he actually plays and doesn't drink/smoke his way out of the league. |
