Eli is/was also always under scrutiny too. Fans, sports writers and talking heads, terrible head coaches...
He never caught heat from players... but had plenty of haters. Never was an other worldly talent. But won 2 Superbowls with great D and run game.

I would take an "unspectacular or unglamorous" two Super Bowl wins with Bortles any day of the week.

No we can't judge a QB on the likes of Brady, Rodgers, Elway, etc. Those are the exceptions.

Blake has the potential to be like Eli, or even a bit better in the regular season. Eli is pretty pedestrian until playoff time, I dont think Blake will ever have a season with over 20 ints, let alone multiple. 

I see a career trajectory similar to Alex Smith, but hopefully with some SB wins in there.
