Hand size for QB - just how crucial is it?
|
Quote:Someone should start a topic on the ratio of foot size to height and how it pertains to balance and stability. Balance and stability being important to throwing a football especially on the run. Does this ratio also contribute to a player's mobility, agility and elusiveness? Well, I can give you 2 examples that play this out.... Byron Leftwich was huge at 6' 5" and 240, but had tiny feet, especially in proportion to his body (size 8). We saw how clumsy he was and I am sure the small feel were a contributor to that. Johnny Manziel, OTOH, is relatively small per NFL QB standards, at 6', 200 ish, but has giant size 15 feet, which are huge in proportion to his body...His body control and elusiveness are top notch. Corrolation? I'd say so. |
