A few comments....

Have ALWAYS liked Marqise Lee (even if I can't spell his first name without adding a U after the letter Q).

Not to detract from Marqise in ANY way, this is meaningless without knowledge of what type of coverage is being employed. It's unfortunate that the knuckleheads collected this stat, but did NOT indicate M2M or zone coverage. 

To lead the NFL in this category is a indicator Lee is possession wide receiver. 

Jimmy Smith was OUR deep threat receiver and Keenan McCardell was OUR possession receiver. Usually, the number one WR gets the checked flag while the number two carries a lunch pail.

In the last meaningful thread concerning Marqise Lee, I commented that he can be a number one WR as he does have the ability to create enough separation to haul in the deep throws. I still feel this way. 

Most deep throws are only as good as the quarterback throwing them. WRs who jump up and catch and then fall down on the spot are really irrelevant to a successful deep passing game. This type of completion should NEVER be the goal of the offense. A solid WR talent has the ability to run under the deep ball, catch it in stride and run away from the defender - which is always the goal of the deep pass.

Hope Marqise Lee's injury is not serious.
