Jaguars HOF Questions

#6

The 2 players with the biggest chance of being enshrined having played for the Jags, at least in the near future.. are Tony Bosselli and Torry Holt.

Bosselli should make it this year. There's 3 locks for the new nominees: Tony Gonzalez, Ed Reed, and Champ Bailey. That leaves 2 slots. Out of the returning contenders I think Bosselli finally gets in after Terrell Davis has been enshrined, and not too long ago they enshrined Jason Taylor... who Bosselli consistently dominated. The remaining slot will probably be Faneca. If Bosselli is snubbed for Edgerrin James, then that just makes it easier for Fred to be enshrined in the near future, and each year the guys around Bosselli evaporate it just gets harder and harder to ignore his case/canidacy.

Torry Holt won a Superbowl as the #1 for the Greatest Show on Turf. He's also considered possibly the greatest route runner the game has ever seen. He may have only played one year here and failed to find the endzone (he was so close a couple times and was caught from behind, I think that's how he knew he was done tbh) he still had 800 or so yards and was solid. He won't go in as a Jaguar but he'll get into Canton someday.

Hon. Mention:

Fred Taylor, just based on the scarcity of RB's at the top of the career rushing list, he will get in. If Edgerrin James is enshrined, there is legitimately ZERO reason Fred should not be included. IIRC after Edge, Fred has the most career rushing yards of any non-active player not in canton already.

Jimmy Smith, Even though he retired in the top 10 in most receiving categories, he's been surpassed, there were just too many other good WR's. While he did lead the league in receiving once, the cocaine scandals, arrests and off field issues will mar his case, I doubt he gets in any way but the vets committee.
Championship Formula:

1) Draft Trevor Lawrence!
2) Play good physical Defense!
3) Keep 91% of the roster healthy!
4) ???
5) Blank #2
6) CHAMPIONSHIP!!!
