Mallett's lack of mobility was highly overstated. 
 

 

Ryan Mallett has only thrown 4 passes in the regular season in his first 3 seasons combined,  with one being intercepted.  Combining this with Ryan Mallett lasting to the 3rd Round of the 2011 Draft,  it's more than understandable why people would be skeptical.
