Pederson doesn't comprehend the Patriots made the necessary adjustments to shut down Leonard. We needed WAY more than 76 yard rushing out of Fournette to beat Tom Brady.

Corey Grant was ALSO shut down. He had 1 carry for 2 yards.

So, actually the opposite is true. The Jaguars offense was WAY TOO open as New England successfully took away what the Jaguars do best...run the football. Bortles was looking deep on just about every pass play. He wasted a lot of offensive plays trying to hit deep balls on first down, if I recall it correctly.

There was an inexcusable delay of game penalty on Bortles late in the second quarter immediately followed by a sack on Bortles. That led to a two-minute Patriots' drive capped by a touchdown to just about end the half.

We had :55 seconds to work with, and Bortles took a knee twice. Ironically, Bortles is a pretty nifty QB in hurry-up offense. He could have answered the Pats late TD drive with at least a FG.

The Jaguars weren't scared. New England successfully shut down our strength.
