Not so. Leonard was quoted recently stating the NFL was much faster than he thought entering the league. He was blowing bunk out of his rear when he (as a rookie) said everything was slower than expected.

“It’s a lot slower than my first year,” the No. 4 overall selection in the 2017 NFL Draft said Thursday afternoon after the Jaguars’ 20th practice of 2018 Training Camp at the Dream Finders Homes Practice Complex. “Once you really get that one year under your belt, everything slows down each and every year.

“It’s just like college, coming in as a freshman. It seems fast with everything coming at you. In the second year, it slows down completely. Just the game and the speed helps you.”

The fact Leonard, averaging a measly 2.76 yards per carry in pre-season, is NOW claiming this year is much slower in camp than last year PROVES EMPHATICALLY the pace in camp is nowhere near what it needs to be in order to acclimate the team to actual NFL game day tempo.
