We don't know the extent of the interest. But, no front office worth a darn isn't going to look at every option available to them if they believe it improves the roster. It could have been a simple phone call to see what it would cost.

Ultimately, we've known for a while now that the team is committed to Bortles as their starter. I think any viewpoint that he was a liability was shed by this front office last season. The naysayers have their opinions. The people who actually make the decisions have theirs.
