2018 NFL Waiver Wire/Player Cut Tracker Thread
|
Roderick Johnson has been released by Houston. He was drafted in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft by Cleveland and released this spring. Houston picked him up and apparently have dropped interest in him.
I don't know if he is being released so often due to poor play or poor behavior, but I do remember that many had a high regard for him. I suspect his total lack of prerequisite style and form have caused the downward spiral. This is a very athletically talented BIG man, who doesn't have polish for franchise left tackle. See if he can play right tackle and/or excel at guard. His draft credentials include: The two-time first-team All-ACC pick has started every game on the blind side since midway through the 2014 season, when he garnered Freshman All-American honors for his play. |
