Ultimately, we've known for a while now that the team is committed to Bortles as their starter.  I think any viewpoint that he was a liability was shed by this front office last season.  The naysayers have their opinions.  The people who actually make the decisions have theirs.

As long as it was accidentally picking up the phone and answering the call instead of allowing it to go to message machine, I sort of doubt the Jaguars would risk a potential discovery that they had any kind of doubts in Bortles. Or one of those situations where Caldwell picked up the phone to order pizza and found no dial tone, but one of Bridgewater's career placement specialists on the other end.

Bortles has an inferior back-up incapable of challenging him at any time. Bridgewater's career placement specialists have Saints' game checks to carve up.

All is right with the world, no doubt.
