Yes, he makes a lot but is it not warranted? He's a damn good player and helped turn around our culture.  It's not like he's 35 and slipping.

Nobody wants to lose Malik, but if it comes to someone having to be cut he's probably the first easy option that's all. We're significantly over the salary cap for next year, and we already drafted his replacement in the 1st round. We can probably find a way to move money around to keep him as of now, but what if Yannick or Myles decide they don't want to play out the last year of their contract and hold out like Mack or Donald?

They seem pretty intent on grooming that 1st rounder to replace Campbell in 2020, not Malik in 2019 IMO.
