For the record, I would totally take 15 more TDs and 5 more INTs for Bortles. (Also... if you're asking your QB to not throw in fear of INTs... you probably need a new QB)

I absolutely believe in coaching. It's odd, I am making the argument for coaching and the counter is ... well it was 2016 Jeff Fisher... hmm ok? I don't think McVay is making Goff better than what he is. That would suggest he has no talent, which is not the case. Goff has tremendous talent, but I believe McVay is developing Goff much better. His offense, as pointed out, is not complicated. It is tailor made for Goff. You switch Blake and Goff starting last year, you think Goff would be putting up those same numbers here? I don't buy it one bit. I also believe Blake has talent, but much of his years so far were wasted by Gus "Sprinkles" Bradley. Only thing he learned during those years was a "we believe in victory" song and how to throw the ball up 50-50 to AROB. When Marrone took over, IMO Blake was still very raw. Almost as if he was still a rookie in a way. Goff throws a better ball, no doubt, but I can't say there's a huge difference in Goff/Bortles in talent. They just are being coached and developed much different.

I also absolutely believe an OL makes a RB better than what they are. I don't even understand how that's an argument. As for Fournette's ypc, you realize he did face like 50% 8 men in the box last season? Offense is centered around him, not Blake. Everyone knows to stop the run first against this team. Throw in Fournette in a team that passes a lot, I am sure his ypc would be more than 4.0. Again, coaching. Point still is, I don't think the talent gap between Fournette/Gurley is massive. Can't dismiss Gurley's 3.2 2016 ypc because of coaching, and not use that same principle here. Offense is very mismatch here, Fournette is power I and Blake is shotgun. 

Still, as for what we were discussing, I'd take the Jags roster over LAR. I just think there is so much talent here, really at every position. I would however take McVay over Marrone. Switch Marrone/McVay, you honestly think Goff would look the same? Marrone would be centering the offense around Gurley. Centering around a RB is archaic and out of style.

Funny... I just read an article on SI today talking about how Hack and McVay are similarly using plays that makes their QBs look good. After seeing bad performances early in their careers.
I'm not saying coaching doesn't matter. I'm just tired of people taking shots at Marrone like he's a bad coach. He's not. Hack is actually pretty good too, considering he makes Bortles look better than he actually is with the playbook he designed around a very limited Bortles.
Also... I think Goff is just a better QB than Bortles. And I think his coach is doing a better job of the same thing Hack is doing with Bortles.
Oh and look who is hurt, again. While Gurley just beasting.
