***Official Jaguars @ Chiefs Game Day Thread***
|
Hi, Jaguars fans!
![]() Much of the Chiefs success so far after the first quarter of the 2018 NFL season include the production of second-year QB Patrick Mahomes, and RB Kareem Hunt. Under Mahomes leadership, the KC Chiefs are both #9 in Passing Offense and Total Offense, and #13 in Rushing Offense. A good challenge for Jacksonville from their line of scrimmage, as our Jaguars currently are #1 in the NFL after four weeks with both Passing Defense and Total Defense, but are #10 in Rushing Defense. Jaguars last defeated the Chiefs at then named Jacksonville Municipal Stadium back in November 8, 2009. Jaguars maintained an early lead, their last score a Maurice Jones-Drew 10-yard TD run to make it Jaguars 24-6 early in the fourth q uarter and despite a rally by KC with Matt Cassel's two TD passes, from 54 yards, and 5 yards to Chris Chambers, the Jaguars still won 24-21. As in 2007, Jacksonville also last defeated Kansas City on the road and in an away game, entering Week 5 action with their 3-1 record, 11 years to the day today. Maurice Jones-Drew scored on his 52-yard touchdown run, David Garrard threw his 3-yard TD pass to Dennis Northcutt, and John Carney's 20-yard field goal, and his two PAT's, helped the Jaguars defeat the Chiefs 17-7 back on October 7, 2007. Kansas City outscores Jacksonville in total points in the previous 11 games by 240 points to 223, but the Jaguars leads the all-time regular season series with 6 wins and 5 losses, a rivalry that began when the Jaguars defeated the KC Chiefs 24-10 in Jacksonville, back on November 9, 1997. Jim Nantz and former Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo are announcing the live TV game commentary, along with sideline reporter and interviewer Tracy Wolfson, for The NFL On CBS's primary and early single header game, seen in most of the USA, and locally on WJAX CBS Channel 47, live on HD. Rain with cloudy skies at 60 degrees, is the local gamecast inside Arrowhead Stadium, at the Harry S. Truman Sports Complex at Independence, Missouri, for the 1:05 P.M. Eastern Standard Time kickoff, along with 70% precipitation, 92% humidity, and east/northeast winds at 7 miles per hour. Head Linesman Brad Allen leads his NFL oficiating crew to supervise the game action on the Arrowhead Stadium playing field. NO injuries, try to win game #4, and win at KC for the first time in 11 seasons, and GO JAGUARS!!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 2018 Jaguars @ Chiefs Live NFL Game Centers, Team Injury Reports, and NFL On CBS Primary Single Header Game In Red: https://www.jaguars.com/game-day/2018/re...-at-chiefs https://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/201810070...ab=preview https://www.jaguars.com/team/injury-report/ https://www.chiefs.com/news/chiefs-vs-ja...ry-report/ https://506sports.com/ We show less advertisements to registered users.
