Poz in the Middle, biggest difference

When that offense can't move the football or hold up well in protection we all know that defense is standing on the sideline thinking "....... DAMN IT! Here we go again!". And then they spend all day on the field and get too damn tired to care or keep up.

This falls back on Marrone, Hackett and Wash. Injuries happen. You're going to lose key players here and there all across the board. It's up to the coaching staff to instill confidence in their pieces out there and if something isn't working they need to address it and make the needed adjustments to survive long enough until they get somewhat healthy at the positions they need to be healthy at.

Paul being absent shouldn't create this much hysteria or that much of a drop off. This defense wasn't perfect last year. They had lapses in San Francisco, Arizona, at home against the tacks earlier on last year and they damn near let the Steelers come back and ice all of that positive work they put in during that first half in a play-off game.

So it's not bothering me at all. They come back home. They need us to be there loud and proud for them. If they can find a way to go 5 - 3 or even 4 - 4 going into the bye week we'll STILL be in good shape in a poor AFC South. Our division isn't that tough at all. It's inconsistent as hell. We just need Fournette to get healthy and they need to shore up that offensive line somehow and we'll be back in the saddle.

We STILL control our destiny here folks. Don't [BLEEP] your pants just yet. It'll be okay. I promise.

I think you're mainly right, especially about the overreacting everyone's doing.

But this defense has not been up to snuff this year.  Teams move the ball on us too much, especially running between the tackles.  And Jalen Ramsey's alligator mouth has overloaded his jaybird butt.  Actually do your job consistently instead of puffing out your chest and yammering on and on.
