Kessler has a few qualities over Blake but he does compare unfavorably in velocity and mobility.  Those two things are likely keeping him on the bench for now.

Given how poorly the line played last week, they may actually need Kessler in his intended role soon enough despite Blake's toughness.

Velocity doesn’t matter if your ball is off target or you’re throwing into triple coverage like Blake.

I wasn't trying to begin a discourse on the merits of velocity for an NFL QB, but rather simply listing the things Blake has that may be better than Kessler right now. He has better velocity. 

Certainly the mobility is a greater asset than the velocity given the Jags current state, but it's a factor as well. There are downfield throws I wouldn't trust Kessler to make because of it, but he's not really going to have time to attempt those right now anyway.

I was also implying I'd hold Kessler out until he's actually needed to replace an injured starter. His intended role.
