But I think this gets to more than just the QB. Basically the stats I was looking at point to the fact that more often than not, whoever wins the 1st quarter wins the game. And most of the exceptions to that result in the Jaguars losing the lead rather than coming back.

This underscores a coaching staff/culture that:
1. Is not good at changing course on game day.
2. Is not good at stopping momentum.
3. Cannot overcome a bad game script, or playing "your way"

NFL will always be a chess match. There are times where you will be at a disadvantage, but you have right the ship.

I mean when was the last time, you felt a Jaguars played better than their talent? Did they really last year? Given how much money and All-Pros are on defense?

Any player that got better typically is called a diamond-in-the-rough, or has personal extreme work ethic on their own.
