It is obvious that Blake is not the future QB for this team. I have supported him and believed this was the year he would secure his position for the future. Fact is, he has continued to lack any consistency in his playing and the writing is no the wall he is not the answer for this team at QB. Kessler should be given the chance to play if only to provide the coach the opportunity to ensure he is capable of winning and is a viable backup. He outplayed Blake in the second half and if all the best player will play means anything then Kessler should start next week. Starting Kessler will confirm that Marrone means what he says and the message will be clear to all the players that your only a starter if you are the best player at your position. Is Kessler the answer no one really knows until he is given the chance to succeed or fail in the starting position. To win in this league you need to score 20 or more points and Blake is not even near that number so why would you not give Kessler a chance? We can't afford to lose next week or this season is almost over. I would rather lose trying to win then hoping your quarterback has a good week when he has been horrible far more than good. It is not all Blakes fault with all the injuries on the team but a fifth-year Quarterback has to compensate for problem not add to it.
