I do think it looks like Kessler reads the field a bit better but I'm not nearly astute enough to say that with any assurance.

And to take that a step further, if the defense is squating down to try take away our usual crossers and stuff which QB is best equipped to counter that? I'd argue the one with much better accuracy and timing...

 Yeah he seems like a high IQ guy based on everything we know of him.

I'm still not sure what to make of Hackett, I've been high on him in the past. His opening scripts used to be top notch and that's usually the product of great offensive planning and analysis but I dunno anymore.  

As an OC his QBs have been Ej Manuel, Jeff Tuel, Thad Lewis , Kyle Orton and Bortles. I mean, it's nigh on impossible to scheme an offense around those guys. He made Blake serviceable last year and made Orton okay for a year.

Can he do better with better QB talent? Possibly but I'm also not sure if I wanna find out.

Hackett was Marrones OC in Buffalo. Marrone beleives in run only so his OC has the same mentalaty and it shows with no imagination in the passing game. But what really gets me is if we run and play and it works, we dont run it again in future games, and if it does not work we dont run it again. The pats game we ran a jetsweep with westrbrook a few times and it worked good. we tried it with the TE once more and that got him injured. I like us to see more exotic playcalling to confuse defenses.
