It's called the Soho bottle bar scam. They warn tourists about this stuff in city guides and what not.

I know what it is, that's why I called it a con. The thing is celebrities like the players are more vulnerable than others because they're accustomed to getting comps. And that's why I'm not directing criticism at them, I'm directing derision at the establishment.
