But even if those guys got open, you expect Blake to be able to hit them in stride? Blake doesn't anticipate his throws and half those guys you listed can't beat man coverage.
You just discredited all of those guys. But they are all of a higher talent than what we have here other than Dede. And its not like teams gave up the farm to get these guys other than Cooper, which IMO was a horrible decision by the Cowgirls.

It's way down the list in my opinion - and QB is definitely a larger issue.
Is it possible to win with Blake? Obviously - yes - we've done it. But is it reasonable to require the #1 run game in the league and a top two or three defense to get him by? No - It's not the way to get it done. Not long term. It is not sustainable.
The QB has to be able to go win some games on his own at times. We've seen that what, maybe 3 times in 5 years? Not enough.
Now weigh that against the games that Blake gifted away on a silver platter with picks and do the math.
I think the QB needs a bit more help, sure. But I think we need a better QB even more that that.
I didn't say that was the #1 issue, but in the scheme of things when you already traded for Hyde and you aren't getting any other LTs from anyone else, the best thing you can do is help your QB if you expect him to throw it 40, 50, and 60 times a game.
That's just common sense. And I know any of those guys aren't world beaters but they would draw attention in coverage allowing those who catch the ball such as Westbrook and sometimes Chark to be a little more open quicker for Blake to get them the ball.
But I love the fact that you guys just know it all.

I think this team is praying to all things Holy Blake won't throw it more than 30-35 times in any game ever actually.
They doubled down on the run because they know they have to mitigate the QB mistakes - and they felt they were missing Fournette badly enough - they had to go get Hyde.
Could they have tried a different approach? Sure. It requires putting a lot of eggs in the Bortles basket though, and they clearly felt unsteady doing that. Hard to blame them given his rollercoaster season.
