This coaching staff is doing everything they can to limit Bortles mistakes. They do not want him taking any risks. That QB that sometimes would put the ball up deep his first few years no longer exists.

Jump balls and being physical is Allen Robinson's strength. He is not a great route runner. He is not great at separation. He would never be utilized correctly with this team. and it would be waste of the $14 million.

Hurns could have been valuable as a good guy against zone coverage, but even he felt unreliable at times last year with drops and was often injured. Honestly, they paid him way too much money too quickly with that contract. If that contract had been less, I think he would still be on this team. He is not doing well either with Cowboys either right now.
