At What Point Is Gus Bradley On The Hot Seat?
|
Clock on this regime starts ticking when Caldwell drafts his own hand-picked franchise QB. And there's going to be tremendous pressure on him to take that guy in the 2014 draft, likely #1 overall, regardless of whether a player fitting that mold exists. I'm worried what happens if Teddy, or whoever the consensus top QB is after the season, is not the answer and we force the issue. I'm not in favor of taking a QB that will help win games but will never be the kind of guy that is a catalyst to building a perennial Super Bowl contender. Maybe that's being greedy, but how do Panthers fans feel about their chances of winning a title with Cam Newton, and if he doesn't win one, does that make it a wasted pick?
