Jaguars Final 4 Possessions (4th Qtr) - Play by Play
|
Jags up 16-6 as the end of the quarter nears. Here's what we did...
3 Plays +5 yards Punt * LF up the middle 0 yards * LF up the middle -1 yard * TJ Yeldon reception 6 yards * Punt 3 Plays -14 yards Punt * LF up the middle 2 yards * Sack -9 yards * Sack -7 yards * Punt 3 Plays -1 yard Punt * LF up the middle -1 yard * LF up the middle 0 yards * Chark Incomplete 0 yards * Punt 3 Plays 6 yards Punt * LF up the middle 4 yards * LF up the middle 1 yard * LF up the middle 1 yard * Punt 8 of the 12 plays were LF up the middle for a total of 9 yards. Another interesting stat. The Steelers WRs & TEs had 287 Reception Yards vs the Jags WRs & TEs 49 Reception Yards. Where is the creativity? Misdirection? Bootleg ? In watching the taped replay, Tony Romo specifically called for a bootleg on the last 3rd and 7 noting the Steelers DEs and OLBs were stacking the line and going straight to the middle on each play. Sure enough, when they showed TJ Watt and Dupreee, they went straight to the middle leaving Bortles wide open to bootleg BUT the play was never called. There is no way our defense could sustain holding the Steelers offense down after being on the field most of the 2nd half. We show less advertisements to registered users.
