The fact of the matter is that we haven't seen enough meaningful sample from Smoot this season to accurately gauge his progress. Sunday was a positive flash. Maybe he'll build on that. We don't know yet. I hope so. 

Similar deal with Bryan. Those totally writing him off right now are fools IMO - even if they turn out to be right. The list of D-Linemen that didn't hit their stride until year three is a long one in this league. I'll continue to exercise patience with these young linemen.  If they turn out to be nothing more than good depth in a productive rotation it will be disappointing - but they'll still be valuable.

I don't get any thrill bashing the Jags believe me, 19-0 would be the dream... all I try to be is objective. Smoot is worth the 3rd rounder? You guys are telling me in a re-do draft you guys would select Smoot 3rd round? Give me a break.

Seriously, pal. Do not attempt to put words in my mouth anymore. You really, really suck at it. 

I was all over the draft thread begging for o-line at that pick and I just stated as clear as [BLEEP] day that we don't know what Smoot is worth.  I never said he was worth that pick. WE DO NOT KNOW YET.
