Bortles isn't good and Kessler isn't any better. He might have a tighter and quicker release, but lets not act like he wasn't missing guys and leaving plenty of plays out on the field as well.

At the end of the day, it's best for both this team and Bortles to just go separate ways. I wouldn't mind if Marrone and Wash followed him on his way out either.

That is my whole contention is that we have the wrong coaches. They need to be gone #firemarone. instead of eating 16.5 mil bring in a spread offense guy Draft one of them spread QBs start blake and when the rookiee is ready you can move him in. if per chance a change of Offense makes Blake a dual threat and our offense is productive even better. but to dump him eat the money cant sign a replacement and to start a rookiee makes no since. unless there is a rookiee in this years draft that can come in right away and be a franchise QB. Just my thoughts.

Bortles isn't anywhere close to a spread Offense guy though... Honestly he'd probably look even worse in that kind of Offense because he's simply bad at throwing a football.

They're far better off eating his dead cap and saving $4.5m than paying him the $21m hes due next year.

Everybody agrees that Malik Jackson and Barry Church are gone this off season. You cut them, along with Bortles and his dead cap hit is gone. Cutting Malik and Church free up around $12m and with Bortles' $4.5m freed up, there's no hit.

Cutting Parnell opens up another $6-7m of cap space, with no dead cap hit as well. As well as a few other players they could drop without any dead cap hit also.

There's multiple things they can and will do imo, to negate Bortles $16m dead cap hit.
