I have no doubts that he's a family member of some sort of Gene.

I don't really think Caldwell is worse than Gene, but it's not unfair to compare them. Gene's teams have only won a few less games than Caldwell's have in two full seasons more. And Gene wasn't allowed to spend an NFL record amount of FA $$$, and he also only got one top 5 pick...and he had to trade up for it...and that player was balling before he nuked himself.

Dave has been maybe a tiny bit better despite having a ton more ammo and two more seasons to build.

Well of course you believe that, because you've hated Caldwell ever since he took Fowler over your boy Beasley. You even went as far as making a new account because of it lol!!!

Gene Smith took over a team that went to the playoffs and completely destroyed it... Caldwell had to take over an expansion level roster and rebuild it... Which he did.

Gene Smith's best pick was Alualu... Just think about that for a minute.... That's a pick nobody even likes LOL.

All you have to do is look at the schools Gene was regularly drafting from to realize he was clueless and awful...

The idiot tried to build his team around a bunch of small school, no name players (for his majority as GM) who only sniffed the league because of Gene Smith being so terrible... He's a huge reason why this franchise got set back so far..
