Many of us don't really want a pass happy offense, necessarily. 

We want an offense that is capable of converting 3rd and 5 through the air more efficiently than the what we've seen in Jax lately.  We want just enough of a passing threat that teams are forced to think twice about 9 in the box. 
It's not a huge ask. We want a team that when up on the scoreboard with two minutes to go and possession of the ball - can find a way to run out the clock. 

Personally - I love the old school approach - but I realize it requires more balance than the Jags currently have. 

Chalk some of it up to the line, chalk some of it up to the QB, chalk some up to receivers, whatever...
Regardless of all of that stuff - the Jags need a more forward thinking coordinator - and he needs to have some freedom to be creative about integrating the pass into the game-plan. 

It doesn't have to mean throwing the ball 45 times a game. The run can still be leaned upon heavily. 
In 2017 the Jags ran the ball 49% of the time.  
If that number changed to 42-44% rushing -  the Jags would still easily be a top ten team in run percentage and I think it would make a huge difference in a coordinator's options in attacking opposing defenses. 
(this is basically what the 2017 saints did  ^ 444 rushes and 528 pass attempts) 
Not too much to ask.
