I think he earned being chased out of town the first time when he went full dictator and tried to wear every hat in the damn building.  Hell, the Giants had to threaten firing him twice to reel him in there.  He has a control freak problem that's pretty well documented. 

I'd not be the least bit surprised if he bullied his way into being asked to leave one more time. It's in his nature. 

That said, I do think his presence in the front office could turn out to be a good thing. 
This offseason will be very telling in that regard. 
Coaching personnel, possibly GM hiring (or elimination), and player acquisition will set the table for whether TC is good for this organization or not.  Big decisions to be made and he's the guy with the ear of the owners.

When I think about situations such as this, it reminds me of my time in the military.  The buck stops with whoever is in charge.  I've seen careers lost because a subordinate (in this case player(s) ) failed to do their job(s).  How high up is the question.  Is it the department head (coordinator)?  The commanding officer (head coach)?  The wing commander (executive vice-president of football operations)?  How high up the chain do you go?

It's just my opinion, but I think that they went too far already.  Hackett (in my opinion) should have never lost his job due to the circumstances of this season, injuries being the biggest concern.  Firing the "next lower in command" of the offense made sense (benching Bortles).

I think Doug Marone made the wrong choice to relieve Hackett of his duties.  From what was said and reported, this was Marone's decision with the backing of his boss (Tom Coughlin).

As far as Coughlin being the Head Coach, I doubt that it's even a possibility.  Why would he take a step down?  I don't know what he makes but I seriously doubt that any owner is going to pay his salary to do the job of a lower paid position.  I also doubt that Coughlin would agree to a lower salary and a lower position.

The bottom line is that these "reports" are just mere speculation by a blogger calling himself a "journalist" that happened to publish it.
