The Defense has some major issues as well

Our stud DT Campbell that was the difference maker last year is starting to slow down, which is expected as he's coming near the end of his career in a year or two if not sooner. The big free agent DT Jackson we signed has been outplayed by the rookie DT that looks lost at times, let that sink in. Yannick is still a stud on the end but he's getting double teamed since we shipped off Fowler and there's no threat from anyone else on the line.

In the secondary our free agent Safeties are useless, the rookie Safety looks promising but so did those liabilities playing LB in the early part of their career.

Yea we have big underlying problems on defense, but they pail in comparison to the total rebuild we're facing on offense. IMO we need to switch to a 3-4 defense almost full time next year, Fowler was prefect for a 3-4 so it's a damn shame we didn't utilize him in that role while he was here but whatever he was a locker room problem so I get it. I think if we switch to a 3-4 we only need 2-3 role players and we can be competitive on defense just find next year, but all this talk of top 5 defense is ridiculous we're going to be average at best. We have to build a powerhouse offense that's the game today.

Switching to a 3-4 won't work if you don't have the talent for it. The Jaguars only have two or three LBs and no real NT. At one time Dareus might have been a decent NT, but those years are probably behind him now. It takes a truly special player to pull off that key role.

2. I Dont think they quit. I think the DC had no clue what to expect with Henry running. and then just as with the OC and HC he did not adjust at halftime to stop it. the bane of this coaching staff not knowing how to adjust to injuries and halftime game adjustments.

3. Calais is a vetern leader. But i think your right need Good leadership or at least someone smart enough to make sure everyone is in the right place with the LBS

That is the main problem right there. Wash has a ton of talent on his side of the football and has no clue what to do with it. He needs to go.

He has to have some clue considering the team still has the #2 pass defense. If only they could tackle better.
