I like the way Pettine has been able to hide roster weak spots at times defensively in GB. They've allowed points in some contests, but they've also held teams to respectable numbers with a couple of back-ups and a couple of rookies in the line-up. He seems to have the knack for altering scheme to players' strengths. At least - he seems more flexible in that regard than Wash does.

He worked with Marrone in 2013 - so there's a connection if Marrone isn't fired.
