You do realize that the picks Caldwell made were all players that were going to get picked at that spot or around it, right? Bortles may have been about 8 spots off, but if they didn’t pick a QB, this fan base would have likely boycotted the games and frankly, our choice of QBs (in retrospect) wasn’t very good at all. To be honest, I don’t think it would have mattered much who we took seeing as Greg Olsen would have ruined him anyway.

Besides all that, it is much harder to draft good players in the latter rounds and even sign good undrafted FAs, something Caldwell seems to do quite well with. I’ll repeat what I said in another thread: Don’t fire people unless you have a better and realistic replacement.
