Is Jacksonville Where First Round Picks Go To Die?

#34

You can make a case here and there for Caldwell. However, at the end of the day. With today's loss. That's now the 5th time in his 6 years here that this team has finished or will finish a season with double digit numbers in the L column.

What more do you need to see? Last year was a fluke. We played some easy QBs. We had to pull out all the stops on ST with trickery here and there. We had to score on defense.

And we barely managed 10 wins last year after leaning on the ground game and getting lucky with a few decent or big games out of Cole and Lee.

The injury bug absolutely hammered this team this year. But the level of competition improved in this division and we couldn't keep up with everything sinking and imploding underneath the surface.

I don't know if firing this entire coaching staff and scouting department is the answer going forward into 2019. But we have most certainly seen this scenario before. And if history has shown us anything.

Complacency kills. Accepting below average results from top down kills. We had a shot back in January. Instead of taking it. We sat on it. Had they taken that shot? Maybe we whoop the [BLEEP] out of the Eagles and earn our first Superbowl.

And this down year could have been chalked up to injuries indefinitely along with the common "Superbowl Hangover" that gets tossed around every year.

See you guys next weekend.
