Some FSU related news recently:

 

-Two FSU commits got bumped up to 5* players via Rivals; WR Travis Rudolph and RB Dalvin Cook. Cook is an EE, which will get him ahead of the curve. Can't wait to see this guy play. He dominated at the highest level in Florida, and he is flat explosive. Could be a CJ Spiller clone.

 

-It's another big recruiting weekend for FSU. 5* WR Malachi Dupre is visiting. He likes FSU A LOT, but it will be hard to pull him out of Louisiana, especially away from LSU. He and Marlon Humphrey are best friends, and talk about playing together all the time, but then again so do a lot of recruits. This could be one to watch, though.

 

-Miami 5* commit Chad Thomas is visiting this weekend as well. FSU's staff has worked all year to get a visit out of him, and he's finally taking the trip to Tallahassee with his mother. I don't think Thomas flips, but once you get a recruit on campus, you have as good a shot as any IMO.

 

-Last weekend was a huge weekend as well. 5* DT/DE Malik McDowell and 5* corner Marlon Humphrey, as well at 4* WR/S Javon Harrison visited. McDowell from all reports had a great time, and apparently the Michigan State staff is definitely worried about FSU here. Humphrey, on the other hand, is quiet and doesn't do many interviews. Many thought losing Jeremy Pruitt would kill our chances, but apparently Marlon really likes the promotion of linebackers coach Charles Kelly to DC. Kelly has prior experience coaching DBs when he was at Georgia Tech, and apparently Marlon really liked his knowledge of coaching the position. It's gonna be tough beating Alabama for Humphrey as he is a Bama legacy, but I like FSU's chances. I'm no recruiting expert, but going off of my gut, I think he picks FSU. I really want Javon Harrison in this class. I think there is a very good chance he decommits from Virginia Tech and picks FSU.
