Jamis Winston- good first year fell off after
Marcus Mariota- good first year fell off after
Blake Bortels- Bad first year continued to get better untill this year still could be potential with a diff coach
Deshaun watson - Good rookiee Year until hurt Continues this year but not quite as good. wait and see
Teddy Bridgwater -  ok first season got hurt moved around form team to team
Mitchell Tribiski - Good first year getting better this year
Jimmy garapalo- looked to be the real deal has not played entire season yet injured
jerod goff - claimed a bust his rookiee year by Fisher, has gotten much better with diff coach
Carson wents - first year looked to be real deal then got hurt, this year not quite as good hurt again Foles may replace him
Derek Carr - Good first year steadily declined
Patrick Mahomes- great first year will have to wait to see

So it seems finding a Franchise QB is not as easy as some might think and just because he may be a Franchise QB does not always mean he will be an elite QB. geoff wentz trubiski and moahmes maybe the best of the bunch but even they are showing signs that they might not be as advertised. These are my opinions not stated as facts so some of yall might think im wrong.and yes i butchered their names.

It's not only "not easy" finding a franchise QB, it is more of an art than a science. Look at the very best, known top QBs and where they came from. Some were considered great prospects, and turned out, others had many knocks on them. 

Brady - the GOAT. 6th round pick, barely even played in college. 
Rogers - was fairly highly regarded but fell in the draft from a hopeful #1 overall, to 24th.
Brees - 2nd round, thought to be too short, but will make hall of fame.

And then we had the "sure thing" QBs who busted....
