Actually, if I remember correctly, we can get under the projected cap without touching Calais's contract.   Imagine releasing Barry Church (done), Malik Jackson, Austin Seferian Jenkins, Donte Moncrief, and Jermey Parnell.   Those moves would undoubtedly but us way under the cap.

ASJ staying would hinge on his off-field weirdness, but they could save 4.75 mil cutting him. His lack of dependability may warrant a move.
Parnell would save them 6 mil - but complete lack of depth and no clear starters at RT/RG yet make that uncertain.
Moncrief isn't under contract in 2019 - his walking has no effect on cap good or bad.

However - releasing Jackson and Church will have a major impact. They will have to do more, but those two moves will handle the majority of the clearance needed to repair their cap situation. 

If they trade Fournette (doubtful) that clears another 6 mil next year. 

Another longshot possibility is restructuring one of the 4 or 5 remaining big contracts on the team to push some money back to 2021 and clear a few more million from the 2019 cap.
