I've been buried with work and just getting caught up around here, but I tend to agree with this.

Now, the Fewell thing I can kind-of understand because of the number of busted coverages and clear instances wherein players were blatantly confused about their assignments. 
However - that stuff seemed to largely get corrected.  And the passing numbers against this defense certainly don't paint Fewell in a negative light. 
Perhaps he and Wash just didn't agree on what went wrong/how to fix it. 

I don't know enough about Flaherty to really comment - and the 2018 season for his group is pretty tough to judge with a rotating cast of scrap-heap players. 

The Hobby thing is a serious head scratcher.  I don't get what the issue is there. I almost want to assume it's something personal and not about player development.  No clue. Seems like an odd firing to say the least.

After I thought about it more last night, I thought of the busted coverages as the justification for canning Fewell.  They were a problem, but overall, I don't think it was enough to fire him, but apparently Khan/TC/Caldwell/Marrone thought differently.

Thinking about the Hobby firing, and I wonder if he took the blame for the breakdowns in run defense or Bryan's slow development.

Was Wheatley required to fall on the sword for the lack of RB development?

I don't see why Flaherty took the blame at all considering the MASH unit the OL became starting week 2 with the loss of Robinson.

With retrospect granting me perhaps a little more understanding the moves a little more, at this point I still disagree with the moves.

Who was actually behind the firings?  Since TC had a significant say in assembling the coaching staff, I wonder if Marrone was more eager to dismiss them than he otherwise would have been, or I wonder if TC had a hand in their dismissal as well.  I wonder if Khan mandated heads roll because of what transpired.

What's more, given how brutal next year's schedule appears, the need for a franchise QB here, and the possibility Marrone enters this year on the hot seat, will that hurt the search for a quality OC, OL coach, RB coach, DL and secondary coaches?
