The Jags only options for Grier are probably: take him at #7 - or - get him in a shallow trade down

The Raiders have two picks at the bottom of the first round and the early second round pick. I could see Gruden wanting Grier.

The Patriots, Saints and Bolts all have older veteran QBs and all need to groom replacements.

I am wondering if it wouldn't be better to trade down from 7 into the mid first than it would be to try to trade up from the second round into the bottom of the first of Grier is the target.
