I am less sold on this proposition today than I was a few days ago.

Below us there are:

10.  Denver-they just signed Case Keenum last year to a modest deal and expended no draft capital to get him.  They have a new coach, and the new coach will likely want his own guy.

11.  Cincinnati-Andy Dalton is decent, but has never won a playoff game and is no spring chicken.  They have a new coach too.

12.  Green Bay has two first round picks and a history of taking a QB and letting him sit behind a HOF passer to develop under...yep...a new coach.

13.  Miami-The Tannehill experiment is likely over under...a new coach.

15.  Washington-You saw what happened with Alex Smith, right?  He may not play another down of football.  Based on what I heard, he was fortunate to keep his leg.

Even if those guys fall past that point, trading back up into the bottom of the first is a tricky proposition as well.

Phillip Rivers is 37.  The Chargers could easily be in the market for his replacement.

Brady is what 41?  They just traded away Garoppolo.  They need a QB to take over for Brady.

The Packers have the Saints' 1st rounder.

All of these teams are picking at or near the bottom of the first round.

Bullseye, you're beginning to sell me on Grier at #7 if Haskins is gone.
