The rightful head of state was democratically elected. Other countries failing to recognise that does NOT mean they get to decide if the election is legit or not.

Guaido's party had a 2/3 majority in the Assembly.  Under the terms of Venezuela's constitution, the one Chavez basically wrote, 2/3 of the Assembly is sufficient to dismiss the President and call for a new Presidential election.  They did so, and Maduro chose to ignore them and create his own "Congress" that had never existed before, that only people who had been involved with his party could run for.
Guaido's the legitimate President.
