Anyway, if you increase the minimum wage you increase the cost of labor for businesses that hire minimum wage labor.  If you increase their cost of labor, you either increase the cost of their good or service or they lay off expendable employees which increases unemployment.  Minimum wage increases should be tied to the inflation rate and left alone.  Beware the politician that champions the idea and both sides are guilty of it.

You'd hope most people would be aware of the facts you've stated. But part of being a politician is to offer actions that make people feel good. And people making $15.00 an hour feel better that those making $10.00. Perhaps they won't notice the incremental rise in costs of almost everything. Most people don't pay too much attention to the price of gas, for instance, because you have to pay it regardless of cost.

And I don't expect Morgan to run for office. He'd have to take a big drop in salary. And work harder.
