The Jaguars failures drafting wr in the first round is the same reason for a lot of their failures, they were "needs" drafting instead of best available player.

You can't make a great player just exist because you think you need someone at that position. The team needs to learn that you take great players every year, even if that means drafting center three years in a row. Stop leaving great players for your opponents while you take the garbage ones.

Yea, I believe the same thing. Coughlin probably still has nightmares about drafting Soward just because of need at that position. The same goes for Reggie Williams and Matt Jones. This year, the Jags have several areas of need so the likelihood of need and value coming together are very good. If the Jaguars remain in the same spot (6th), I don't see a wide receiver, running back or tight end worthy of that pick, except possibly Haskins who will likely be gone. Metcalf's talent is undeniable, but his injury history is too risky for a team that can't afford to miss with their first round pick.
