I was new to the area and stationed aboard the USS Vicksburg (CG-69) out of Mayport.  We were standing up the ship and as a plank owner first crew we were floating off the coast when the announcement was made.  I'll never forget that.  So funny because we were using the signals equipment to intercept radio stations to get the news.  No iPhones, Mobile Internet or any way else to stay connected while we were underway.  The world sure has changed.


Man that Denver victory sure was awesome.  I had to work up at Kingsbay for an overnight shift during the AFC Championship game and boy the well timed lights going out in Foxborough sure derailed us.  Man I hate the cheatriots.
