I don't really anticipate any of the states that went for Clinton in 2016 shifting over to Trump in 2020. I do expect that some of those light blue states in the upper Midwest that went Trump in 2016 will be prime targets for Sanders to retake. Trump won them because he canvassed them while Clinton took them for granted. I think we'll see a lot of the Democratic nominee attacking those states hard, probably reminding everyone about how "tax reform" under Trump has led to bigger checks written to the government and smaller refunds back to them.

Well, hopefully the republicans remind everyone that your larger paychecks led to the same tax return you got last year. Peoples lack of understanding of the most simple mathematical concepts is frightening.
