Sources: Jaguars look to trade RB Hyde, DT Jackson
|
Hyde has basically little or no trade value. Maybe we trade Hyde and our 7th for a late 6th rounder or something. Not even a full draft pick.
Malik Jackson is also nearly worthless. It's a deep, deep draft at DT and it was last year too, so there isn't much need to pay a huge salary to a rotational player when the league is full of younger/cheaper players. I mean, it's worth a shot - but most likely both players will simply be cut. Huge whiff giving up the 5th rounder for Hyde last year. No one else was willing to give up that much, so not sure how anyone could think his value didn't decline after his awful time in Jacksonville where he was taken out of the rotation at the end anyway.
