NFL players to be assigned to AAF?

#2

They aren't getting paid in the offseason much anyway. They would get paid by the AAF, but it would be the player's choice. They can't force them to play, just allow them to play while still under contract.

Practice squad players should all be allowed to do it. Then some positions would benefit. QBs would be helped by reading defenses, but OL and WR play has been bad. Young OL may benefit from getting more time but if the OLs are already bad, being the best on a bad line may not improve you much.

Defense has been ahead of a lot of the offenses, but they are also limited in defenses they can run to try and help the bad OL play. So again playing against bad competition isn't going to help you a lot.

I doubt they send many drafted players there. It will be bottom of the roster and practice squad players.
