You and I see things way different. 

 

I see a player in Roethlisberger who will be slowly steadily declining from this point forward to the point where he's essentially Brunell & McNabb by 35. I don't see a "good to great, clutch QB" for the next 4 seasons like you do. 

 

I see this as opportunity to get something good for the guy now, while they still can, and reload. (because there invariably are other GM's out there that think the way you do) 

 

If Cutler can garner 2 firsts, Ben might be able to right now as well. 

 

I'd even take a 1st + a 3rd for Ben.
